Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Well, our rainy May weather forced another cancellation of our monthly open house. That’s too bad because Jupiter is at its best right now. But it seems drier weather and clearer skies have come in for June. This month we’re going to do things a little differently. With the Summer Solstice, it doesn’t get dark until very late. So we’re going to do a solar viewing. I’m going to bring in a couple of solar telescopes which allow us to view the sun. I’m teaching a hiking class on Saturdays this month, so this event will take place SUNDAY JUNE 17 FROM 12:00-2:00 PM. That’s right, Father’s Day. Bring Dad out to see the sun! The long range forecast is predicting rain (go figure?) but hopefully we can get in a couple hours of solar viewing before that. As always, these events are weather permitting. Let’s hope for clear skies.
See you out there!
